Is this an error dime or a defaced dime?

I'm pretty new at this coin collecting thing, but my little brother found a very scratched up dime. The year, face (hair), and edges are scratched out. The mine mark looks like a D. The dime itself looks shinier compared to other dimes. This back edges are raised. It's also slightly flatter and bigger compared to other dimes. In the pictures, I compared it to a 2015 dime. I'm completely clueless. Does anyone know what to make of this coin?

It looks like "road rash" to me. There is no way that it could have been made to look like this at the Mint.

Welcome to CT. A very, very frustrated person took out their anger issues on that dime so PMD=post mint damage.

 

More coins get defaced by strange individuals than you can imagine.

 

Better coins than little children, sadly.
