Is this a regular strike 1922 Peace Dollar?

Is this 1922 Peace dollar a regular strike or a special variety strike?

The surface looks different and it doesn't look like the high relief and low relief matte, specifically due to the rounded letters on the reverse top. And, the rim appears to be rounded unlike a proof. Maybe it was due to circulation wear?

Though, the word "PEACE" appears especially bold compared to many of the other 1922 Peace dollar business strikes. Is it environmental damage? Perhaps it's simply an earlier business strike relative to other business strikes.

    Thanks in advance!

It looks like you have a nice, sharply struck, normal 1922 Peace dollar. That coin has very little circulation wear, and certainly not enough to round the rim off on a proof.

Yeah, it probably wouldn't make sense to have that much wear only on the rim.

Maybe the proof dies were recycled and used for business strikes, and this was an early business strike? I say that because in a recent auction listing, as well as on many other mint state Peace dollars, I see a cameo on the devices with almost mirrored fields like a proof-like coin, such as on this coin (never heard of NTC, but this makes a good quick example):

Cameo (especially a rather light cameo) on the devices does not necessarily imply the dies were proof dies, necessarily. It means the surfaces of the devices have a different surface from the fields.

I'm not seeing cameo on your coin, and the later one, I'm not sure what I'm seeing because of the lighting.

Ya, your coin is well struck, probably came from an early die. It's very nice looking. The numitrust coin just looks like your standard one, slight to no cameo there
