randomly found it wile looking for something. trying to figure out shipping costs. i went into the check out area and it said unsecured. https://www.oldcoinshop.com
I clicked on the link to open in a new tab and this is what I got. This Connection is Untrusted You have asked Firefox to connect securely to www.oldcoinshop.com, but we can't confirm that your connection is secure. Normally, when you try to connect securely, sites will present trusted identification to prove that you are going to the right place. However, this site's identity can't be verified.
I can't vouch for the company, but I can vouch that an "untrusted connection" message doesn't necessarily indicate an untrustworthy business. It just indicates that they need to find a better Web developer and/or host.
Very poorly designed website. Did anyone else try to find "United States" in the country selector? Where is it?!? Whoever designed this site must have also designed the ObamaCare website.. Just ugly.
They have one drop-down menu for US coins ("select denomination") and one for all others ("select country"). So it makes sense that the country list does not include the US. Their certificate expired in October 2013. On the other hand, at the bottom of the checkout page, there is a different "seal" (NS - Secure) which looks OK to me. Christian
If they want to have a successful online web site they do have some issues to deal with before anyone will have any confidence that they are safe and secure.
