Is this a rare Maria Theresia Thaler or worth its wait in silver?

This coin is my Uncle's in Egypt, He wants to send it to me to sell for him but I think it is one of the not so rare coins. He feels it's not and said he had it appraised and was told it was one of only a few known to exist. In Arabic it was called the "platinum dollar" But I don't think they were ever minted in platinum, only silver. If any one could tell if it is worth anything I would greatly appreciate it.
