Is this a rare coin?

If anyone has seen an 8 like that I would like to know about it.

What about the 8 makes you think it's rare?

Other than it was hit several times, just like the face has all these hundreds of light scratches all over it even heavier ones just above the 8.

Just circulation wear
And tear

The 8 took a weird hit.

A good, clear close up of the date might show what you question better. With these photos, it just looks like the date took a hit, PMD (post mint damage).
