I found this dime in a coin roll. I can't see the clad layer on the side but I don't know how to tell if its silver... It's a 2003 s and would like to know if it is a proof.
Yep, you have exactly $1.00 worth of silver. Though if it came out of a roll I assume that it was already impaired.
Yeah there is black residue on the reverse and its pretty scratched up but is in better condition than my pre 1965 dimes thanks
It sure is, I don't collect proof coins because they don't circulate but that one's a keeper since it's been in circulation (and also because it's silver)
Its a silver proof, I found a 2009-s silver proof dime earlier this week too, it happens from time to time, its only worth the silver.
