i found this penny yesterday. It’s a 2012 (D) Lincoln shield penny but it’s silver. Is it possibly a penny stamped with a dime planchet? I have no way of measuring how much it weighs.

No, it's a plated cent, done
    as a novelty item.

If it were struck on a dime planchet,
it would be about dime size, and you
would have outer clad layers and a copper
core showing, just like a clad dime.

Your cent is full diameter, and it will
weigh just a tad more than a normal
copper-coated zinc cent, due to the
    plating.
