Cripes, I don't know what's natural or unnatural any more. You stick a coin in a manila flip, and leave it there for 15 years in a dresser drawer, and it comes out toned, it's acceptable. You stick a coin on a window sill for 6 months (southern exposure) flipping it every so often, and that's acceptable. You leave a coin in a roast (just put in the oven) at 325 for 2 1/2 hours (I don't now how the devil that coin got in there) and it's deemed artificial.
I'm looking for a VDB I'm just not sure about this one. Rather have a full mint luster. Thought this was interesting though. Thanks.
Geez, Ken! We've got one relatively new member who swears that he can produce an NT coin by coating it with a Butterfingers for 25 years. Chris
Johnnie? If you like it, buy it. Just don't get too caught up with the 'toning' thingy. It drives folks nuts and causes them to spend way too much money........natural or unnatural.
Thanks. I don't go after the rainbows too much. I can't tell what's natural or not but eye appeal is subjective I suppose.
Looks nice to me. I do prefer to see a hint of mint luster though which is a bit more challenging to see in pics of toned coins and especially the woody cents that I'm a fan of.
