Is this a Morgan 1900-O VAM-29A?

    Picked this up yesterday at the coin show in Arcadia for $28.

    I think it is the 1900-O VAM-29A. Do you agree or disagree? Any thoughts on condition (the F in upper left is not part of the seller's estimate of grade)? TIA

    Yes. VAM 29A.

    Too much wear to see the fat die break between the denticles, though. The "evil mimic" to this, VAM 35A, has a similar die crack, but not as heavy, and not exactly in the same place. VAM 29A is almost always circulated, while VAM 35A is almost always uncirculated.

    Thanks for the comments. I think in this condition (I peg it at VF20) it is worth more than the $28 I paid for it.
