Im new to this. so here's my first and probably not my last. i spotted this with the naked eye. but i used my loop for a better pic. its more noticable at an angle. im sure its nothing. but was curious what this would be called. an "error"? the S of States and the o from oF thanks!
lol! i dont know why i didnt catch that. i surely know it's spelled loupe. i have no clue what i was thinking by typing loop. i think i'll blame it on... it was a late...?
that sounds interesting. i will have to read up on the process of striking coins. so would this coin be worth holding on to? i would imagine so since its only a penny. but just curious if this should be a keeper. thanks for all the help though. edit: just did a bit of reading. they seem fairly common. but for a penny, ill keep it.
From what I've heard, and been told, that is the most common area, obverse and reverse, that has weakness on the penny. Not worth more than 1 cent, however good eye! Keep it up and you'll find something awesome!
