I purchased this at a LCS. It was attributed to Humayun and termed Tanka. I think it is an Akbar Shahrukhi though, as I see numerals 981. Would anybody care to throw in their opinions? Diameter: varies 23.15 to 25.2, coin being oval shape Weight: 4.65g XRF: Ag 95.7%, Au 0.3%, Zn 0.2% Sigma PM test at Sterling setting: Fail I remember seeing an old thread on this site discussing similar coin. It seems that cartouche design is indicative of Lahore mint, and it was labeled such. Much appreciate any inputs, thanks!
There are a couple members that have knowledge of these but you may have to wait a bit for an answer.
It looks like a Humayun Shahrukhi per this listing. I just cant see the 944 mentioned. Maybe the 981 I see (I can only decipher Islamic Numerals, not script) is a part of script, appreciate any clarification.
