I went to a coin shop and I bought a 1938d vg buffalo nickel for $1.50. Is that a good deal? I wanted to know because I think it is worth more then the average buffalo.
    Thanks~Corbyn

Hey corbyn, I'd suggest pictures to take a gander at value.

That is a low grade example of the most common date in the series. I don't know why it would be worth more than the average Buffalo.

I'd say $1.50 is a fair price. I've seen VG - VF go from anywhere between $2.00 to $6.00 last time I checked, it really depends on the actual grade and each individual nickel though.
