Is this a double die?

    This coin looks Fishy... Is it a double die? If it is what makes it one?

    It looks to me like a case of die deterioration doubling.

    And AFYI, you might find it interesting that this 1944-D cent is made from spent shell casings from the war. It's a slightly different alloy.

    The correct terminology is Doubled Die.. not Double, big difference!
