It looks like it could be a die gouge, but I don't think it will increase the value of the coin. Chris
I just came across a 1995 cent that's on coppercoins that has a DD extra column that looks like mine but it's going the other way. These two look like they have the same direction.
Looks like your "what"? Please provide photos of both for comparison and be a bit more explicit. Chris
I am saying that there's a 1995 cent on coppercoins, pictured above with arrows, showing an extra column that has a diagonal DD column. I was also stated, that the 1997 cent mentioned for this thread, also has a diagonal bar that looks like the extra column on the 95, but the 97 extra line is shooting SE while the 95 is shooting the opposite direction. Is it plausible that the 97 could be a DD? Only saying this because of the similarities of the lines on both coins.
Since that diagonal mark was not part of the original die, it cannot possibly be a doubled die. It is my guess that the left-hand arrow on the CopperCoins photo is pointing to the vertical column, not the diagonal mark. I have no idea what the right-hand arrow is referencing. You'll have to ask someone at CopperCoins for clarification. Chris
It's not a mix up or misplaced arrow. That coin is cross referenced with Wexlers. It's WDDR-002 for 1995 D. It states that it's a partial tilted column.

I don't know how to paste a link, I'm on my phone. Thanks for the additional info. At this point, I'm going to withdraw myself from the discussion. Let's just say that I have a hard time believing that the diagonal mark is a doubled die. Chris
I understand. Thanks though for your time. I'll probably send it in to Wexlers and get his thought on it. Worst is, I'm out just a little bit of money. I'll leave the conversation here. Again, thank you.
I'll be curious to know what Wexler thinks. It would be ironic if he said it wasn't a DDR. I'm still not convinced that the other one is a DDR, and I would love to learn his rationale. Please keep me posted. Chris
