Is this a die crack

    I'm thinking it's a die crack with grease filling in the cracks at first I was gonna toss it then looking at it I figure I ask before I spend it lol

    I would say PMD but I'm no expert.

    PMD. Some sort of material (glue, resin, varnish?) dried on the surface.

    Yep, this it in some acetone and watch it melt away.

    Looks just like the resin inside of solder as well as some flux. SOmeone was probably playing around. PMD.

    I kinda thought so will put it in the jar of going back to the bank pretty soon I bankroll hunt alot find alot of interesting things still an armature at this but getting better at it

    If looking for errors interests you, then a good way to learn more is to pay attention to the posts on CT. Members post links to good sites for identifying doubled dies and other varieties. Check these out and spend time looking at the pics and descriptions.

    The best way to learn is to look at a lot of coins and read as much as possible about the subject. I've never found a short cut.
