Hard to tell from pic could have been cleaned.
The seller has a 100 % rate and has other items for sale

What makes you think it is fake? At first glance it looks okay to me - except it looks cleaned.

You should see if they will tell you or guarantee the weight so you can compare it with known genuine examples.

I'm not an expert on large cents but the fact that the guy says he thinks it may have been cleaned lends some credit.
That and the fact that I believe large cents had "fancy 5" varieties just like the 1865 2 Cent Piece.

Seems legit to me. Not exactly a date worth counterfeiting as it is.

In my opinion the coin has been cleaned which the seller mentions. It also looks like it may have been oiled up a bit (which can prevent corrosion).

Looks like the common slanted 5 variety to me. It's a nice coin, but has proabably been cleaned and oiled, as Zane said. Oil and lacquer have been pretty common things placed on large cents in the past.

Looks good to me, and, although it may have been cleaned, it is a high grade.

It is real. There are a couple of fake late date large cents from the mid to late 1850's (Bay area counterfeits) but this isn't one of them.
