Is this a clip

Would this be considered a clip? Did they have clips in 1807? Or is this just a coin that had a piece broken off some where along the way?

Coins have had clips way back not sure how far back though im pretty certain thats a clip though.

Thanks for the comments and helping me confirm this is a clip error. The coin it self is only worth a few dollars in this condtion. Do you think the fact it is a clip increases it value much?

Since clips are a common error it probably would increase the value by a few more dollars?
