is this a 1985 D re punched mint mark?

    Pretty compelling looking, but you'd still need to eliminate zinc blistering, IMO.

    Not a RPM , the underlying "suspect" is larger than the mint mark. Jim

    It's not a dent. The zinc has corroded under the plating and that area is sinking.

    Thanks for your help everyone. I did look at Wexler, and it looked close, so I thought I would post it.You folks are the best for good information.I have not posted for awhile, as I have not been coin roll hunting. Trying to get back into metal detecting.

    On the Home page, click on FORUMS and pick the one most appropriate for your subject and look for the blue rectangle that says POST NEW THREAD, click on it , ignore the poll part unless you really want a poll done on a specific question and your there. Jim
