Md. Flat shelf-like in appearance. No evidence of notching. Sorry.

For the 1972 series of DDO, the date is distinguishing only for a couple. More are identified by the motto or LIBERTY. So to give yourself the best chance, photos of these areas are necessary. This one is probably as answered by Ikandiggit, but in other searching, photos at side angles as well as straight on gives the best chance. A single photo gives no perspective to the "shadow" one sees on the perimeter of the numerals. Check www.coppercoins. com.

    Best of luck,

    Jim

1972 D Lincoln DDO over "DIME"? need feedback

Hi, Im new to community and need some advise. Pretty cool looking Lincoln with miltipule areas that i see a Dime at best.
Worst case i see DDO multi hit.. the 2 even goes into the rim. So, whatever you guys think, help with some direction.

I really didnt want to see a dime but the atributes of different areas point to that... see shoulder deep impressions that match over size imprssions on back

    Looks like "DIME" to me

    Thanks

Welcome to CT, Moose. All I see is a harshly cleaned cent. You should start your own thread and not hijack others.
