Is this a 1970's Small Date?

    I have read up on how to tell, but I am still a tad confused at it.

    IMO, it is NOT the 1970-S Sm Date. The 7 on the small date is much shorter and smaller than that of the Large Date. As a die marker, of sorts, the IBERTY on Liberty is noticeably weak. The end of the upper loop in the 9 points directly at the 7 on the Sm Date but at the mintmark in the Large Date.

    The coin in the photograph does not exhibit any of the above.

    Hi splintercellz, from my understanding, it is not. I think the "7" should be level with the tops of the rest of the numbers, and the loop of the "9"should point to the "7," and not at the mint mark, which it appears to in this case.

    No it is a large date---this is small date, level 7---John
