Is this a 1943 S/S Mercury Dime, please help?

  1. I bought this from a dealer because it looked like a double S on the back. Is it? Can someone tell? Attached are two images. Please reply.

    I don't think this is the RPM, however I am far from an expert. PCGS has photos of this coin, and I don't think so. They just aren't offset enough.

    Let others chime in

    No, that is not the S/S FS-501. There are at least 4 RPMs for the date though. Give me a second...

    This does not look like one of the 4 RPM's for the 43-S. Probably just lighting playing tricks.

    Or it could simply be a Die Chip issue.
