I have seen 3 varieties of the,'84 double ear. Any idea? Also what's with the raised spots above date along the rim?
Hi HT3Fisher I tried to enlarge the obverse of your coin for you to get a better look at that ear lobe. Usually when I have seen them doubled I have seen more than just the tip of the lobe. I will have to defer to our experts who will come take a look at your coin, holiday schedules permitting. You might even try to get better photographs of that ear while you are waiting. Oh! And welcome to Coin Talk
no, looks like moon craters on his face....thats new, MERSA? a 'degrees' symbol after date, real odd zinc rot there....
I found this in my change one day. Then sent it to ANACS when they had a special. View attachment 717890
I say no to Doubled ear.. looks like it took a hit. Those are Plating Bubbles. All Post 1982 Copper Plated Zinc Cents have all kinds of plating issues
