19Lyds answered your first question. The "streaks" seen on the coin are the result of the copper and zinc alloy not being completely homogeneous. So some areas in the poured ingot were higher in zinc than others. When the ingot was rolled out into a strip these areas of high and low zinc content get stretched out into these thin bands. On the strip and the new planchets these "streaks" are not visible but over time the streaks of high and low zinc content tone at different rates and become visible as on your coin. These are commonly referred to as "woodies" because the streaks resemble the wood grain seen in lumber.
Struck works too. I always search for sellers on ebay who descibe coins as stamped in hopes that they are selling something good and they dont know it lol.
