Hey everyone! Sometimes, when I'm photographing coins, I notice "irregularities" that I hadn't previously noticed. Now, with this 1972 $10 from Jamaica...I thought I saw doubling on the dates. When I took a closer look, I believe I am seeing a quadrupled die. What do you think? (Also, if anyone HAS one of these, can you check to see if yours looks like mine (maybe they all look like this?) @Numismat ? I'll include a shot of the entire coin (a bit larger than normal) and a couple images with the easiest areas of quadrupling to see highlighted.
This is the same way I found my South Africa 1969 1 Rand DDR...in the photo editing process. Was getting ready to sell it!
Not yet. I almost sent it in with my NGC Free Submissions coupon, but I had 5 US coins I thought would do really well (and generally, I was right.) Maybe I'll send it in with a few of the new foreign coins I just picked up.
I ask because I have the Swiss DDO. So you would send it straight to NGC and no attribution? BTW neat coins!
Well that brings me to the last question. Who would you use for the Foreign coin attribution? Thank you very much!!!
I would probably give NGC a call and see if they absolutely would attribute the variety before sending it to them.
