Is this 1959 Penny a legit clipped planchet error?

    I found this penny in a roll a few days ago at work. The questions i have are: Dose it look legit? And if it is what would its value be? Sorry about the poor photos it's the best i can do with a 7 year old Sony cyber-shot.

    From what I'm seeing, no.......not a legitimate 'clip'. But I'm no expert and I think others should chime in with their opinions on this coin. If I'm wrong, they'll let us know.......:)

    I put the cent in b/w to see if there was a Blakesley effect, could this be it?...

    yes, the slight collapse of the rim opposite the clip is the blakesley effect. this is a genuine clip.
