Is this 1952 penny a clip planchet or damage

    Hi everyone is this 1952 wheat penny a clip planchet or damage thanks to who might know.

    Could be a straight Incomplete Planchet or it could be altered.

    You need to show the opposite side of the Cent.
    Your covering it with your fingers in all the pictures.
    Lay the Cent flat on a surface and take a picture.
    There is something called the Blakesley Effect which is a weakening of the strike opposite of the area in question.

    Also.. A planchet isn't actually ever clipped. It's Incomplete. The planchet was cut from the stock sheet a bit close to the previous cut planchet or from the edge.

    I would say it is not a Clipped Planchet from the photos provided.

    As mentioned earlier, the rim opposite the clip should be a little weak. I've attached an example. However, I think your cent looks like damage.
