Is there any hub doubling in this cent?

    If you're asking if the die is doubled from multiple impressions from the hub, then no. If you're asking if the working hub is doubled from multiple impressions from the master die, then no. All I see is a worn die.

    is there any value for a 2009 D cent double thumb?

    Keep the 2009 cent that is a known doubled die.

    The first coin is early 80's, is it not? If trying to learn about varieties, you may want to avoid them until you're more familiar. Between the generally low quality and the design itself, they're tough and much more so than earlier or even later dates.

    As for the 09, better photos would be a big plus, but as it stands I'm not seeing anything other than likely damage. There are literally hundreds of accepted LP2 varieties, and only a select few carry anything beyond very modest premiums. Yours, even if a variety, doesn't appear to be one that would.
