there are severel coins like that to have been issued. But not by the US mint. I have seen examles from foreign countries - Cayman Islands, Marshal Islands.. the usual culprits. Also, it could be from a private mint here in the US, i dont pay attention to them when i see them, so it could be from alot of different places, just not legal tender here.
Sounds quite likely, except ... would they actually make "5 cents" coins for such purposes? NCLT collectors would perhaps be interested in large dollar coins - $1, $5, or whatever those places usually issue - but not in small nickel pieces methinks. And yes, a picture would help. Maybe it was a five-cent coin but not GWB ... Christian
