If you look in the Red Book, you will notice that both a 73-S Clad Proof and a 73-S 40% Silver Proof were produced. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the clad proof went into the Proof Set case and the 40% proof was in the "Brown Ike" case.
1973-S 40% Silver Uncirculated (issued in Blue package, aka "Blue Ike") 1973-S 40% Silver Proof (issued in Brown box, aka "Brown Ike") 1973-S Clad Proof (issued in 1973 proof set) '71-S and '72-S same as '73-S except no Clad Proof's '74-S same as '73-S '76-S same as '73-S except the silver uncirculated and silver proofs were issued in sets that included silver quarters and silver halves (instead of in the Blue and Brown packaging) BTW, the '75 proof sets had '76-S Clad Proof Ikes, halves and quarters in them '77-S and '78-S were Clad Proofs only issued in proof sets (no silver proofs and no silver uncirculateds)
