Is the 0 on this 1970-S Small Date common...or could it be counterfeit?

    I've never seen a zero like this. It sure looks like it was laid on and connected at the top and bottom.

    It's a 1970 small date. That is a nice find. The way you can tell is the 9 where it loops in is pointing to the 7 and not the mint mark. Don't throw that one back IMG_1027.JPG

    Could be an early stage of a forming Die Chip.

    The 9 has a similar strike as the 0
