Well, my LCS sells common date low grade buffs for fifty cents... but in reality, your coin isn't worth much over face. Still, a nice coin to keep and enjoy.
T'is true, you won't be able to retire on this one, but I'd call it a good solid 50 cents I'd buy any and all non-acid date Buffs you guys have at five cents apiece...
There's a difference between what a coin is worth and what you, as the owner, would sell it for. Obviously, no one would sell it for face... it wouldn't make sense. However, to sell a single low grade buff on eBay for fifty cents seems hardly worth the effort. What I do, after I accumulate twelve to twenty pieces, is sell them as a single lot... and they usually go for twenty to forty cents each. Vendors at flea markets usually try to get $1, but that is way high.
