    Hello!

I have a 1909 S VDB and am currently trying to sell the coin and wanted to see if you deem it authentic? I've dealt mostly in silver dollars so this is a newer area for me and wanted some input so as I don't rip anyone off. I've looked at several different threads and believe it is genuine but wanted some expert advice. Thanks and any input is welcome.

Sorry about that folks. My computer's preview shows them much larger. Hopefully you're able to zoom in on these. If not, I'll get back on here later with better close ups.

I am no expert but the mint mark looks "funny" I do not mean funny like a clown.

I agree with Chip, that S looks strange.

It's an added S. The mint mark is not the proper shape IMHO

Nope. It is a doctored coin, with an added mintmark. The mintmark is NOT straight up and down. Clearly added.

My best way of telling a fake 1909 s vdb from a photo is the thick N on the valley of the N in United. The picture shows no thick N. Thus, I'm guessing it is not genuine.
