Is it possible for a coin to have both MD and be a DDO/DDR? I have a '67 SMS Kennedy that looks like it has both going on and add in some strike throughs (threads) and a couple of gouges. This has a little haze to it so some of the pics might not be sharp. Does anyone else see what I'm seeing?

The only listed SMS 1967 half with both an obverse and reverse doubled die pair is CONECA DDO-002,DDR-006. Yes, you can have MD and DDO/DDR on a coin. MD is just the result of the strike and can happen with any die pair.

Are you referring to the 'thread' at the chin? It looks like it could be a struck through, but can't really tell. Could be something inside the capsule. I assume this also is the case for the spot above the US. Nice coin though!

I took the case apart so no plastic to shoot through. There are more than a few threads on the obverse, it looks like it was struck through belly button lint. There is also a gouge or strike through between the US of TRUST and on Kennedy's cheek.

I see the MD on this, but I also see what looks like rotation and spread on lower half of the obverse? I'm working on a better set up for taking pics.

Looks like a die crack on his chin.
