is it fake?

Is this a fake Carson City?
It looks like the S on states and A on America are to close to the wings? Any help would be appreciated.

It isn't necessary to make more than one thread for the same coin. It just makes things really confusing once you start getting responses.

This coin looks fake to me. Lettering looks "off".

Of course, higher resolution shots of both obverse and reverse taken directly above the coin (so it appears circular as opposed to egg-shaped), would help.

 

The OP has another thread with questions about this same coin as well as the 1877 IHC.

 

Somebody around here is hallucinating, and I don't think it's me.

There are two threads asking about the authenticity of the same coin. Same photo was used on both threads. See ikan's link for the other thread.

Real or not, looks like it has been artificially aged.
