I'm curious - is any of my silver worth more than melt? Are any of these worth the time or trouble to try to get them slabbed, or anything? Please let me know - here is my entire tiny collection of silver, for now O/R shown of each coin. If any particular one needs/deserved more detailed pictures, please let me know, and I will take them
Silver $'s are worth more than silver. Not much more, but a bit. That said, none of these are worth slabbing.
have to go with the above. a couple of the morgans in better condition should bring a bit more than the rest. 2BTWs, get yourself a good price guide or check ebay and that's 1 beat up ASE!
Lol... yeah, it's been in my posession for like 20 years. It's been in a bank bag loose along with the rest of my childhood coin collection for all that time, getting knocked around with absolutely no respect
The majority of those are going to bring above melt prices. I don't know about slabbing, but I would get some flips (cardboard 2x2's with mylar sheeting) and get those out of the random plastic bags. Coins that are unprotected get scratched & dinged. Coins in contact with PVC get really ugly chemical burns.
The Morgan & Peace dollars are all common dates. With their condition as it is, I doubt that you will get more than 80-90% of melt. Chris
this is my 1999 ASE. An BU version should look like this. Since I'm wondering, how did that ASE get so worn? When I first saw that image, I thought it was just a Standing Liberty 1/2 dollar. For those silver dollars, only the ones in great shape are worth over melt. Some of those coins look desperately in need of a holder of some sort.
