I am a collector of Iowa obsoletes. Does anyone know of a good source of Iowa Obsoletes? I have dealt with Vern Potter in California, and a firm in Boston. I try and buy XF of better stuff. Trying to find stuff that grades any higher is very difficult, not to mention very expensive. I do collect other states from time to time. Depending on the beauty of the note and the historical significance. I did buy the book by Dean Oakes on Iowa obsoletes and that was great. I also like depression script and I have been able to finds some of that in Iowa. I picked up some coal mine script that came out of Oklahoma Indian territory that I really enjoy. I really enjoy talking about obsoletes and scrip. If you have got some I would like to view it hear about the history that goes with it.
