Not to point away from our site, but this thread was recently emailed to me. I have no idea as to the validity of any of it. http://forums.collectors.com/messageview.cfm?catid=26&threadid=627340
It would have been nice if they had informed there customers. I have coins in Austin now that should be back next week. That's great. I mean that stinks. I'm going to call them in the morning.
If true, does anyone know where ANACS is moving to in Colorado? They started out here in Colorado Springs and I would like to see them return.
I wish they had put something on their site. I have a coin being reholdered by them for a customer and I could not get in touch with them at all today....the lines were busy.
I got to say, There are a lot of weird people on collectors universe..I glad I'm on this one..The people on here seem more normal.
They couldn't inform their customers as they didn't even inform their employees until it was a final decision. Employees are told there is a company meeting. They arrive. They're all fired. Company is packed up and moved. They couldn't exactly put this info on their website beforehand. As for where in Colorado they are moving, I'm going to take a wild guess on what I think is going to happen and say Englewood.
Ha, my thoughts exactly. Sometimes, I think it's odd how Colorado (specifically Colorado Springs) has so much going on here in terms of numismatics (ICG, ANA, now possibly ANACS). Too bad there is a dearth of good coin shops in the Denver area...you'd think there'd be plenty considering the above.
Got an e-mail from anacs today. They will be opening on Jan.2nd in Denver, CO. There 800 number will remain the same..
