Interesting PMD Nickel

    I'm pretty darn sure this is PMD, but I think it still looks cool. Anyone have any idea what happened to this and anyone think its anything other than PMD?

    I would say it was a dryer coin, but it's not melted on both sides.

    I'd guess that this sat face up for a long time, somewhere very very hot.

    Are you drying your clothes at the foundry?:D

    A dryer coin appears the way it does, not from the heat but from being tumbled constantly for a long period of time.

    As for the coin, I have no idea what caused the damage. There is no rim on the obverse which is confusing me.

    Looks like someone took a buffer to the obverse.
