    Peru token from 1920:

I have had this token since the 1960's.
I had originally thought this was a Mexican wedding token,
but after looking it up, found out it was more:

It appears to be silver plated and quite worn, also has a hole at the top.

    Obverse:
BENDICION DEL ESTANDARTE Blessing of the flag
    PADRINOS Godparents
    ABELARDO COELLO
    ANTONIETA DE COELLO
HUARAL The Peruvian state which encloses Lima
    FEBRERO 29 1920 February 29, 1920

    Reverse:
CENTRO INTERNACIONAL OBRERO International Worker Center
DE AUXILIOS MUTUOS Mutual Aid Society

I can not find out much about the International Worker Center,
except that it was some kind of labor union.

I'd love to collect things like that, power to the union!

I cannot comment either on this labor union, other than to comment that it seems to have been operational during the presidency of Augusto B. Leguia. This is interesting because Mr. Leguia ruled Peru with a very autocratic hand for many years.
The members of this union probably did not have it easy....
