Just saw this. Its interesting. Wonder if it ever gets searched and I understand she has made quite a few of them. All heads up so you cant see if there are any wheaties although I think I see some 43's.
Very Nice Thomas, but still a shame the roof will most likely deteriorate, and need re-roofing, before the wood rots! My 2 'shingles' worth, J.T.
If they used pre-82 copper coins for the roof I think it would be nice. Those Zincolns will rot away after a season or two in the elements.
These are all copper panels and they used to be mounted so that they moved, but it was a distraction on the adjacent freeway...
I must be bored. I did the math and 1 cent is the cheapest per square inch of coverage. Cent 2.28 cents/square inch Nickel 9.31 cents/square inch Dime 25.4 cents/square inch Quarter 34.8 cents/square inch Half 43.9 cents/square inch Large Dollar 56.6 cents/square inch Small Dollar 117 cents/square inch
I started getting a really bad reaction after searching several hundred boxes of cents. I made sure to wash my hands after every box but I ended up developing a sensitivity to the copper. I can only imagine how bad that would be on your butt. I always wear gloves when I search now.
But you forget. This also provides needed properly applied "improper annealing" to the coins you provide during this process. And you probably thought they were stains ... hahahaha ....
You're not actually sitting on the pennies. That would be a hygienic nightmare! The pennies are all arranged and encased in a clear acrylic.
