I always enjoy hearing about large coin hoards. The largest coin accumulation of the same denomination was a purchase of Newfoundland fifty cents ,all years and grades from G-3 to EF. Nothing graded any higher, I sent some to ICCS to have graded. It consisted of 2309 coins collected by an old merchant family that put aside Newfoundland coinage in their business. I managed to put together several complete sets for collectors and the rest I sell in lots of 100 coins. A sample pic here. Anyone else have any stories of hoards.

I bought a huge hoard ...well hoard by my standards of wheat pennies once at an estate sell. Story goes the wife thought they were regular pennies so just wanted about 10 bucks for a hugggeeeee change jar full of them. Found a few nice dates.
