Hi All, I found a Series 1950 A $20 bill inside a program from a Sports World Dinner held at the Waldorf Astoria in 1959. Does a bill of this quality have any value over face? I have attached the best possible pictures that I can. The bill itself does not have any obvious wear or folds. http://img521.imageshack.us/i/dsc05403j.jpg/ http://img18.imageshack.us/i/dsc05404p.jpg/ As a point of conversation, the program that it was in contains a personalized Jackie Robinson autograph!! http://img710.imageshack.us/i/dsc05396m.jpg/ http://img18.imageshack.us/i/dsc05397dp.jpg/ http://img34.imageshack.us/i/dsc05398v.jpg/ http://img246.imageshack.us/i/dsc05399g.jpg/ http://img85.imageshack.us/i/dsc05400r.jpg/
Looks like a nice find in very good condition, But i think the district New York is somewhat common in that issue, I doubt if it would be Worth anything over face!!
I looked to see if I could send you a PM..you must not have that option selected.. I am a collector of New York Notes and I'm interested in the note. PM me for details. I normally do not do this here but no way to get in touch with you... I have this note and the star, but interested none the less. Send me a PM if you are interested. RickieB
The Jackie Robinson autograph is probably worth a couple hundred! Check Heritage's past sports autograph auctions.
