Interesting 1986 Lincoln Doubled Date

Came across this cherry picking. I can find no DDO or variety listed in Wexler's Die Varieties. True DDO, machine error, etc.?

If it were a true doubled die, the digits would be slightly thicker than normal. I don't think it is a DDO.

I think it's flow lines from die deterioration.

 

Is that common?

 

Very common as a die becomes more worn out.
