This is fairly different for an older Indian Head Cent, 1875 with a 1/4 in. deep indention on the Obv. and 1/4 in. raise on the reverse, The Wreath looks Doubled and i can still see the L clearly on the Obverse, not sure if it happend at the mint or got popped with a .22 short years later. I know my Grandfather was a crack shot and claimed he could pop a penny at 25 yards but this came from G-Grandfather coins dunno, sure wish it was a mint error though....

Well indents like these do not happen at the mint. Could be done with bullet, or hitting it with a small tool.
