After waiting almost two months for PMG to get their act together, I finally got back my $2 insufficient ink error. I buy $2 bills by the block of 10 new packs and back in early October I started receiving bills from the Chicago FR. In the last pack the next to last note was the one in the first picture. The note following was a star note. In two subsequent blocks of $2 bills I got that were from Chicago FR, the last pack and last two bills were star notes. The two star notes are from the last block of $2 bills I received before I jetted off to Thailand for the auction I attend 3 times a year. Of the 2 other blocks of $2 bills I got following the error, each block had 2 consecutive star notes in the last pack for the last two numbers. So I guess I was real lucky that someone let the ink error slip through as it appears there were problems with the 999 and 000 numbers for several sheets of notes.
That insufficient ink note seems to me to be a very minor error. Is it actually worth the price to have it certified? I only certify notes if the error is questionable. Yours is pretty obvious. But I guess it takes the guesswork out of whether or not it has been altered. In any case, nice note!
