http://cgi.liveauctions.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170258952984 Pity i've heard that Heritage's shipping service sucks. I would've loved to bid on it, just to say "Hey, look what I have...."
Well it has never take me more than a week to receive items. I wish some ebay sellers could be that slow. Never had a problem. It is a interesting coin.
*Why did the boy from New England put candles on a toilet seat? Because he wanted to have a birthday potty* Hey, you asked for it. Lol, that's a neat coin, I'd probably buy it if I had the cash. Wonder what it'll go for? Phoenix
I've never had a problem with Heritage shipping my coins. I've always received them promptly. Also, I like the potty coins!
They have several of those "potty" coins up for auction tomorrow, several box coins as well. I am impressed. I've never see that many of them up for sale at one time.
Heritage is a 1st class operation and they ship promptly. However, they don't ship so securely. They just send the thing in the mail, no signature confirmation, nothing. One day you come home, and you have $800 in coins sitting in your mailbox. I don't recommend ever bidding on a Heritage items through E-Bay. I don't know if the service with regards to shipping is different, but the Buyer's premium is 20% as opposed to the 15% if you bid using their own website. Membership is free and the site has fantastic features such as the my collection and wantlist.
Which is okay if you have a PO Box like me. But, not if they are sitting on your doorstep for all to partake of. They ship lots on Friday, and you get them on Monday, in my experiences with buying from Heritage that is the rule rather than the exception. They email you late Friday with the tracking information. The exception was one of the recent Tuesday night auctions, they mailed the item on Wednesday instead of Friday so I had it on Friday. I have always had a PO Box for my numismatic mail, that is a given. It affords a realm of anonymity to my collecting habits.
