Can someone tell me where to get information on paper money? A friend of mine has a bunch of barr dollars and silver certificates. Wants to know what makes them worth more, such as the letters, numbers,on them or errors Thanks

Barr dollars about worth about $1-$2...once my dealer got alot of them and gave them out in change....I spent them also.
Silver Certificates are normal worth $2.....if they are Star Notes or anyting else they could be worth more...I would suggest getting a book on Paper Money at ABE or a book store.

Thanks Speedy,... I read all night about them, all paper money in fact., all that I could find, here on the puter I mean.. All I seen that would make them more was the Star, and less serial numbers.. She had just one with a star.. Poor thing.. she thought they were worth alot. oh well.. live and learn...
Oh ... You said something about ...A Book Store :D About 70 miles from here... And I already went to the library, looking for books on doubled dies.. They had 1 book to look at and none to check out..
So I went on a trip to the mall, and got a few.. And ordered a couple here on the puter...But none on paper.. I found out what was needed, they really aren't worth much.. as I said Thanks for your help..:)
