I've recently started collecting. I got some fairly nice starter coins from my great uncle. I was going to post a few of them and get some info and possible grading/condition.
I'm thinking that 54 franklin is a bugs bunny variety . Here's an image from pcgs coin facts, look at the top lip .
What exactly am I looking for on the upper lip? I compared it to my 61 and the 61 seems to have a straight lined upper lip while the 54 is slightly curved. Is that what I'm looking for?
Looks for some fangs on the upper lip . As you can see from the image I posted, they been polished down ... The lips on your look to be polished down too ...
Here's a side by side and your is a later die state too . I know I'm throwing a lot at you for a new member, but were ( I'm ) here to help .
Welcome April. You may want to consider buying a Red Book to look up your coins. A quick glance though at what you posted shows a nice group of circulated coins. Here is a link to ANA grading standards: http://www.numismaster.com/ta/numis/Article.jsp?ArticleId=21570 TC
