This being my first contest Im going to keep it simple with only a few simple questions to answer....nothing difficult at all. Perhaps some of you know most of the answers from memory. So here it goes......... Q.- How many ounces of gold are currently stored at Ft. Knox? Q.- On what date was the first coin struck at the Carson City Mint and what coin was it? Q.-The Largest denomination of currency was the $100,000 Series 1934 Gold Certificate...whos portrait was on that note? Q.- How many different sets of coins am I currently collecting? Go ahead and post your answers and whoever gets them all right and the closest answer to the last question will win. The prize? Back in 1983 in the Phillippines there was a 50 Centavo coin struck with a spelling mistake. The bird depicted on the reverse of this coin is misspelled "Pithecobhaga". The mint caught this mistake and issued coins with the correct spelling of "Pithecophaga". The winner will recieve an example of each one of these coins housed in a deluxe cardboard 2x2..lol. Contest will end in 6 days, Sat. Jan. 13 no later than noon that day EST. Have fun with this and thanks in advance for playing!!!!

Well, taking into consideration the amazing turnout that I've had for my contest I will be modifying the deadline for the answers to be submited. Instead of dragging this out until the 13th since theres only been one entry, I will end this contest tomorrow night at midnight EST. If anyone else cares to submit their answers please do so before then. Thanks

147.3 million ounces according to authorities. Feb 11th 1870 Liberty Seated Dollar Woodrow Wilson 6 and red books in addition
147.3 million ounces , although there is some question about whether or not the gold has all been stolen by the French. Liberty Seated Dollar on Feb 11, 1870 Woodrow Wilson and 6 (since no one has used that number yet, and I am assuming that you said coins so the other sets don't count). Also: Are you collecting Red Book? So am I. let me know what you still need, I also collect signed editions, errors, special editions. Also the Blue Books.
Yes, I am collecting all editions of the Red Book and Blue Books, there are some that I need yet, well, alot actually. I have the 1997 Special edition and both hardcover and leather editions of the 1947 tribute that came out this year. I pretty much need all editions before 1960 except for the 1958. As far as the Blue Books go, I just started those recently so I only have 13 editions of those and none before 1966. Thanks for asking,EDITED--sorry but offers to buy, sell or trade should be PM'ed or posted in the OPEN forum
This contest ends tonight at midnight EST. At that time I will announce a winner. There have been a few come close with the answer to the last question but no one has got it exactly. I will choose the one who is closest to the correct answer although if there are any answers that are within 2 to being correct I will draw the winner from a hat. GOOD LUCK!!! Also, if anyone would like to edit their answers you may do so.

Will PM Shortly if I can figure out how - as it will be the first time ever. Best Regards Darryl

Now if they will just send me my 2006 ASE UNC... Thank you for the contest!!! At some point in the future I will have to have a contest of my own. I will have to wait to get something interesting to win. Best Regards Darryl
