indian head question

    on the 1886 coin there are two types.
    Type 1 where the last feather is between the I and C.

    Type 2 where the last feather is between the C and A


    How much difference in value is there? I can't find it in any book including Cherrypickers.

    The Type 2 is worth much more and the grade is a factor as well.

    Wild guess 20 to 25%. In MS probably 100%

    Try the Redbook, it has prices for both varieties. The actual prices may not be completly accurate, but the ratio in each grade is probably close.
